What's up?! My name is Ricky...also known as Tricky, the Legend, and others. I spent 5 years in the U.S. Marine Corps. Now, I'm just doing what I can to make it in the arts. I'm into pretty much any kind of art form from visual to audio. I've had a love affair with comics since I was about 7 years old, and have been drawing since I could hold a crayon...literally.

No problem. Good luck on your thesis. I'm taking my first 2D class. Its fun, but a lot of work. Is there any software other than Toonboom that you would recommend?
other than Toonboom or flash, I would recommend TVPaint. the only problem is that its exclusively for PC and is stupidly expensive. I actually use Photoshop and After Effects for my animation but I wouldn't recommend it, its a slower more thorough process, but awesome if you learn how to use it correctly.
Its always better to stick with paper and pencil in the beginning. you learn better when you are physically touching the drawings
